moonlight over La Plata

I have a Nikon D40x and used a tri-pod to get the pic. This is a 10 meg pix camera, I’ve had it for about 2 yrs. …its just amazing how the SLR’s tech jumps by leaps and bounds from year to year. I feel as though my camera (that I love) is almost obsolete (sp) anyway…I love going out and capturing the beauty in everyday scenes, the way the sunlight falls across a fallen tree or a group of leaves fluttering in the breeze. The challenge to capture what I am seeing and feeling and then share it with the world. Photography is my way to share my soul.
Now on to another topic, I’ve been rummaging around the iner-web looking for ideas on “things to see and do on the Blueridge trip”. I’ve ordered maps and I’ve gone to the different counties “Chamber of Comerce” web-sites that we will be traveling through, they have a wealth of information and lots of freebies to help the tourist make the most of their trip through their beautiful counties. I wish there was spell check on here, shit…I should have a dictionary! O-Well
I have got my first broshure for the trip. Its for a place called Dinosaur Land. Its 70 miles west of Washington D.C. It looks like a GREAT place to take the kids to, there are life sized dinosaurs for them to crawl on and take pictures with. They even have a 20′ tall King Kong, you can sit in his hand and get you photo taken….I’d like to do that. I’m just a kid at heart! LOL Looks like they have an awsome gift shop..This year when Judy and I take out trip I might see if I can get a tee shirt from every place we visit. I am a push over for memoribilia ( I need to hone my spelling skills) LOL
WEll, time to push off…I am expecting my Droid to be delivered today ( oHhhh chills) and being that this is my day from from my paying job…I am gonna go do housework YUCK. So check back soon….don’t be a stranger….Later

Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia and North Carolin...

My friend Judy and I have finialized our travel dates and now we can get down to the business of planning our trip.  Once again the only thing that will be certain is what hotel we will be staying in each night.  during the day we will wander down country roads in the general direction of the evening destination.  its exciting to come to an intersection and decide if we want to go left right or straight ahead.  A lot of our trip will be along the Blue Ridge Parkway or Skyline Drive.   Exploring those small towns wiht their mom and pop general stores, family owned restaurants and the wonderful little nick nack stores, OHhhh I can’t wait!  On our last trip I took over 4oo digital pictures…I am so glad I’ve got a difital camera….I could not imagine that much 35mm film.

My last trip I took, we were going to be gone a full week.  I was uncertain what to pack. I don’t think I’d ever taken a trip away from home that was 7 days.  that kinda sounds pathetic…but anyway, this time around I will be packing much lighter and that will leave me more room for shopping and it’s make the trip less bulky…of course I will be packing my 38 special.  Well I got some new yarn yesterday and i am dying to find a pattern for my lovely yarn.  I promice not to be M.I.A

Yes, Yes….I know…I’ve totaly been neglecting this blog. Well its not like anyone is clamoring about hanging on every word I type….right. YES I am right. so but I understand. I started to read a book last night. I’d probly been able to read a little more then just the dust cover, but I’d taken 10 mg of valium and my eyes were getting very heavy…..very heavy I was feeling sooo sleepy ZZZzzzzZZzzzzzz ok enough of the bullshit.
So I’d bought this book “Edgar Cayce” Modern Prophet. its 4 complete books in one. Edgar Cayce on Prophecy ~ Edgar Cayce on Religion and Psychic Experience ~ Edgar Cayce on Mysteries of the Mind ~ Edgar Cayce on Recarnation. As soon as my mornign routine of laundry, cleaning the breakfast dishes and getting wood for the wood stove is finished then I am going to curl up and feed my brain some Edgar Cayce.
My brain was so full of other things this past fall, moving. packing and un-packing, getting acclimated to my new home and a ton of other things that I could’nt tune in my psychic abilitys. I had too much “white noise” going on. but in the last month or so I’ve been doing my own meditation and re-connecting my psychic-ness. its quite amazing. i keep a journal of all my psychic happenings, the dates, time and people involved. If i did’nt keep a journal and could see with my very own eyes I’d never believe that I’d tapped into this gift. Seems that it happens randomly, what I want to do is gain a bit more control. I know it will take time and thats “ok” I have all the time in the world.
