Aquarius

January 20 – February 18

Words of love could be exchanged between you and your romantic interest today, Aquarius. Obstacles to open and honest communication have been cleared away in the past few weeks. You’ll both be more apt than usual to express your feelings. The only caveat is to not lay it on too thick. Even now, getting too mushy could be off-putting for your partner. Be discreet and enjoy your day.

WELL…I’ve had it!  I am sick and tired of opening my closet and there is nothing in there that fits me anymore, well that fits me the way it should. Like my blue jeans for instance…I must have 10 pairs of jeans and some I can’t get past my ass the others I can get up past my rear but you can forget zipping and buttoning them. Oh and i do have 1 pair I can get on but they look like “crap”.  For the last week I’ve been keeping a mental note of what I eat.  I began exercising  daily July 1st , we have a gym with all the popular work-out machines and a weight lifting thingy that enables you to work out all the different muscles.  Its really quite nice.  I have been doing the treadmill 5 days a week 15 min a day.  This last week and a half I’ve slacked off considerably.  I did loose 5 lbs but I am sure that I’ve probably put 2 –3 back on since Aug. 1st.  I check out the Weight Watchers web site last night and decided to join, seeing Jennifer Hudson on the t.v. also inspired me.  Just using their points tracker tool and seeing the value or lack of value the foods I eat was an eye opener.  I also got a free trial of Weight Watchers magazine that will come to my home via snail mail and for 5$ I can access the magazine “on-line”, which I was able to do this morning.  Very good magazine, lots of recipes and inspiring stories. I am READY !!

Marie Claire, the magazine is a wealth of information!  I’ve just begun getting my magazines, when I have finally read and re-read the entire magazine I find myself checking the mail box almost daily… anxiously  awaiting the next.  I am very focused on my health and weight loss, hair care and styling products, facial moisturizers and anti-aging products Ohhh the list goes on, I just read an article by Ashley Falcon called “BIG girl in a skinny world”.  What a good article about plus sized girls and fashion.  I love fall fashions.  I know I’ll never be a size 7 or anything even close to that.  If for some strange way I did get down to that size my family would have a full blown FIT!  I am certain that they’d have me hospitalized…I don’t want to be that small anyway.  I would live to be a healthy size 12 or heck I’d settle for size 14 right now.  Check out Ashley’s article at www.marieclaire.com/ashley

Aquarius

January 20 – February 18

An inner voice is warning you to slow down, Aquarius. It’s probably best if you take a break and let someone else take the lead. Concentrate on matters at home and take care of issues that crop up among loved ones. It’s quite possible that an argument is brewing. Whether you realize it or not, there are serious issues that need to be addressed.

I have a question for you all… (1) How many of you read your horoscope  daily? (2) When you read your horoscope do you truly believe what you reading or do you take it with a grain of salt?   I read it just for fun, its on my MSN page, at the very top and sometimes its seems to be very accurate and other times it just makes me laugh.

My sister and I were very good friends,  were being the operative word here…but her issues with convicts and drugs has driven her away from me and my parents.  I know I’ve aired my/our dirty laundry here in the past…I am turning over a new leaf…I’ll not let my anger rue me and no more dirty laundry on my blog…  OK….on to bigger and better things!!  =)

Its SHARK Week….ARGHhhhh Get out of the water   LOL   when “Jaws” came out on the big screen the summer of 1975, it scared the living crap out of me, seriously…I’d have nightmares about swimming in our swimming pool and a shark coming after me!  That movie has made me look at water and what’s beneath it in a whole different way.  I guess I was 10 yrs old, now 36 yrs later I still get that mind numbing fear of “what’s beneath” when we go visit my parents at Lake Anna, I have to keep telling myself when we’d go out on the boat “its just a lake Lisa…Its just a lake” geeze-louise.  I can laugh right now but let me get down to the lake… I’m not feeling quite as jovial about the whole thing then

Air jaws was the first program I watched on the Discover channel’s ‘”Shark Week”, it was just amazing to see those great White sharks jumping out of the water…just amazing.  I was working on a knitting project and It was an easy K2 P2 pattern for the edge of a hat but I had to keep frogging as my attention to the flying sharks was deterring my progress, LOL

I get several “women’s’” magazines, my favorite is MORE for women over 40.  I love the health articles and the information is pertinent to my age group, the fashion, beauty, money, sex & love, just wonderful articles every month.  Harpers Bazaar is another on my favorites, I’ve just recently begun my one yr. subscription, I’ll will be renewing this when the time comes.  Vogue magazine…I like this magazine but I do like Vogue Knitting mag. better.  I save all my magazines (I need an extra room for them) though some magazines I swap with friends or donate to our local woman’s shelter.  I just got my August Southern Living issue and on the cover is the most delicious looking Lemon Pie!  I’ve been craving “lemons” for the past month or so…to quench my craving I go to the Starbucks that is with in walking distance from my office and I get a “Shaken lemon-aide Iced Tea”  it comes in 3 varieties, passion tea, black tea or green tea.  I like all 3 but my favorite is the green tea.  Its so refreshing, especially on those 95 + degree days we’ve been enduring. I read the recipe for the lemon pie and actually there are 2 recipes and they are both easy, no baking required I just have to decide which one to make…maybe I’ll make both, one for home and one to take to work…YUM  =0)
