I’m Feeling Lost…

Well needless to say I’ve stopped the nutri-system diet.
I don’t even know what to say or think about the loss of my Dad.
I have not picked up my camera in months.
Where did “Lisa” go? That’s me… In case you were wondering, I feel like I’ve vanished.

Ok…I’m back., it’s now 9:36 pm, I was gone foe quite dome time. My apologies.
I am easily distracted and the weather gentlemen are predicting a snow event for the area I live, I thought I’d best to get some wood brought up for the wood stove and I had to make sure all of my bird feeders were filled. I have “tons” of finches that pay my feeders regular visits and
The little beauties do love the black oil sunflowers seeds.
I’m am still trying to find out how to load photos to my blog using the “WordPress” app.
I can see now that I am going to have to spend a bit more time reading…thorough reading

Nikon D40x “Snow Pictures”

I really enjoy my Nikon camera.  I laugh at myself when I think back to when digital cameras were first avaliable to the consumer…I was very wary about them…I did’nt understand how it worked, they were very expensive and what in the heck was all this talk about pixels??  When I look at myself now, I see my mom.  When ever anything was “new” the first words out of her mouth were “No, we’re not buying that…this “old thing” is just fine!   My dad on the other hand was always on the look-out for that new tech-gadget and he was a “yes” man…all the way!  So…I just wanted to post some pictures I’d taken of the snow, animals in the snow and the sky…ENJOY

Working on my Photography Skills

I have a Nikon D40x and used a tri-pod to get the pic. This is a 10 meg pix camera, I’ve had it for about 2 yrs. …its just amazing how the SLR’s tech jumps by leaps and bounds from year to year. I feel as though my camera (that I love) is almost obsolete (sp) anyway…I love going out and capturing the beauty in everyday scenes, the way the sunlight falls across a fallen tree or a group of leaves fluttering in the breeze. The challenge to capture what I am seeing and feeling and then share it with the world. Photography is my way to share my soul.
Now on to another topic, I’ve been rummaging around the iner-web looking for ideas on “things to see and do on the Blueridge trip”. I’ve ordered maps and I’ve gone to the different counties “Chamber of Comerce” web-sites that we will be traveling through, they have a wealth of information and lots of freebies to help the tourist make the most of their trip through their beautiful counties. I wish there was spell check on here, shit…I should have a dictionary! O-Well
I have got my first broshure for the trip. Its for a place called Dinosaur Land. Its 70 miles west of Washington D.C. It looks like a GREAT place to take the kids to, there are life sized dinosaurs for them to crawl on and take pictures with. They even have a 20′ tall King Kong, you can sit in his hand and get you photo taken….I’d like to do that. I’m just a kid at heart! LOL Looks like they have an awsome gift shop..This year when Judy and I take out trip I might see if I can get a tee shirt from every place we visit. I am a push over for memoribilia ( I need to hone my spelling skills) LOL
WEll, time to push off…I am expecting my Droid to be delivered today ( oHhhh chills) and being that this is my day from from my paying job…I am gonna go do housework YUCK. So check back soon….don’t be a stranger….Later
